Rachel is one of the directors and founders of the nursery. She has been working here since the nursery opened in January 2018. Rachel has the Level 5 Childcare Qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce.

Prior to opening the nursery Rachel used to teach French and Spanish to Key Stage 1 & 2 Children across Leicestershire and Warwickshire in various different Primary Schools so has a wealth of experience working with children of many different ages.

​

She is a fluent speaker of French, and spent 5 years living in France working in Corporate Events Management after completing her degree in International Management and French from the University of Bath.

​

Rachel is an advanced Spanish speaker which proves to be useful not only with the children but with managing her current team which comprises several non-native English speakers. She also has a level 2 qualification in Children's Nutrition and has Paediatric First Aid Training along with Designated Safeguarding Lead Training.

After having a short maternity leave in 2019 to have her little girl, Rachel now works Part-Time and can be found at the nursery on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday but can easily be contacted via the management team, of whom there is always one member present at all times on site.

​

When asked her thoughts about the nursery, she said "I am proud to see how far we have come so far, and look forward to seeing where the future will take the nursery. I am deeply grateful to all our parents and children for being on board with us for our project, and a particular thanks to those who believed in us back in 2017 before we had even built the cabin. The team has gone from strength to strength and our diversity amongst out team members reflects our multicultural and diverse mindset that we which to instill with all our children"
