The Great Outdoors

"The best classroom and the richest cupboard is roofed only by the sky"

We encourage outdoor play in all weathers and aim to go outside at least once every day with all children including babies.

We also take children on trips such as to the local museums, post office, shops and fire station as well as to elderly care homes.

Our pond is full of fish, and we get annual visits from frogs and their tadpoles which the children take great joy in observing.

The belief we have for home-cooked healthy food carries across to our garden where we have dedicated areas for growing fruits and vegetables.

Children are actively encouraged to use their imagination for creative play outdoors; our beautiful woodland area enhances their learning and understanding of the world whilst they play. We believe in giving children the courage and independence to explore the great outdoors.
